Once again Notre Dame beat a lousy team today. . . I suppose now we will have to hear how great they are for another month and how great Brady Quinn is for another month until they actually play a team worth a damn! Notre Dame has two. . .and only two good teams on their schedule this year. . . Michigan already piss pounded them and USC will do the same at the end of the year. Brady Quinn puts up decent numbers against lousy teams but does NOTHING against good teams. I've heard enough about this OVER rated team already to make me puke chunks!!! There are 35 teams that SHOULD be ranked ahead of them but aren't because Notre Dame started the year waaaaayy to high in the rankings! The only team that is ever even remotely as over rated is Auburn who. . . like many SEC teams. . . is ALWAYS over rated! I'm not a Notre Dame hater. . . just sick of hearing about this over rated, over hyped, media darling!

Boy it sure has been quite on this post today , you don't have Notre Dame fan and Auburn fan running their mouth , they know better now , but get ready for the Gator smack I can see it coming , but really most of the Gator fans are Auburn fans that have just jumped off the bandwagon on to another as long as its an SEC team !!!!!

GO BUCKEYES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Interesting question. In a similar vein, 'West Virginia beat another cupcake loser team Saturday..does that mean we have to hear about how great they are?...Once again West Virginia beat a lousy team Saturday...I suppose now we will have to hear how great they are for another month and how great Steve Slaton is for another month until they actually play a team over .500 (their opponents are a combined 8-19, and while Maryland technically is 3-2, their wins are to the effect of 14-10 over FIU and 27-14 over I-AA William & Mary).

As far as good teams on their schedule, last I checked, Georgia Tech was ranked #15 and Notre Dame beat them in Atlanta. Then again, as far as Michigan goes, pisspounding doesn't even describe it. That game was horrendously painful. The moral of the story is, Notre Dame, like a great many teams out there, is/was somewhat overrated. It happens. That's why rankings (especially preseason rankings) mean absolutely nothing. And with the disparity of schedule strengths and the fact that anything can happen on any given Saturday, it's very difficult to know how truly good a team is. Don't get carried away with the exageration: Notre Dame is not always overrated, in fact last year they were even underrated at the beginning of the year. And there are not 35 teams that should be ahead of them. I would say 7-15. Finally, just because ND gets a lot of media attention does not mean all of it's positive. Mark May, anyone? There are plenty of Notre Dame haters out there, the reason the Irish get so much air time is because like 'em, love 'em, or hate 'em, everyone's got an opinion.

Wow, guess you must be an auburn fan. Too bad your little tigers lost to arkansas. As for notre dame, they have one of the toughest schedules in history, are you completely blind or just not know college football at all. They played Penn State (19), Michigan (11), Purdue, UCLA, and USC (2). Wow you are retarded

Listen, my fiancee would agree with you 100%, but for the last couple of years, ND has been anything but amazing. I am a fan, as a close friend plays for their defense, but for a ND fan, we have been waiting to say we are good for more than 1/2 a season, and this could be the one. It's all in personal preferences, I guess.

i agree with you! notre dame is over rated, but i think brady quinn is a good QB. its not his fault that his defense sux and is forced to bring them back when they're down. even though they did lose to michigan, they have a good chance of beating usc!

Unfortunately...........Notre Damecould go winless and still be in the TOP 25. It makes me sick...........Michigan already exposed them though...that was GREAT! I dont think Notre Dame will get past Navy. Navy will run all over them.
