find other passtimes- preferably physical. Entertain yourself somehow though.
I have a kind of internet addiction myself- every single time I get curious about something, I run to my laptop (if it's not already in my lap) and do extensive research. I guess most of this information isn't really necessary since I've lived without the internet for so long. Everyone has, really. So whenever you feel the need to go to the web for something, think of an alternative.

All habits are hard to break. You must simply decide what is best for you and hold firmly to the behavior that goes with that decision. Take one day at a time and you will accomplish what you desire - if you don't give up. It won't be easy but you can make it if that is what you truly want to do.

I just started first part of September (although my profile says MARCH for some strange reason) & I think I'm getting carpal tunnel of the NECK. I won't digress on my symptoms, but I will
say this: Just like addiction to cigarettes & alcohol, don't take the FIRST smoke, the FIRST drink. So. DON'T TOUCH THAT MOUSE!! (Look at who's talking...)

Practice some sport like hiking or tennis or just jogging, go fishing, go dancing, live an outdoor life, you´ll see there is much much more to do outside too.

Unplug if you want to go cold emu.
Use a common kitchen timer if you want to try partial.
end every # of conversation with NAME - IA, even if in silence. Alcoholics use it. I've found it helpful as a porn addict.

watch a movie, that'll make you stay away from your comp. for at least an hr and a half, right? then read a book, or go out and hang out with your friends...

I am sure you must be having some hobby?Do something creative it will keep you occupied or join some classes-dancing,singing or any other arts classes.
