Why is it that in so many homes in the West, regardless of how rich people are, they choose to have a toilet beside their bathtub?
I'm Western, but it baffles my mind as to why people would decide that toilets with what they carry and how they smell would be best placed beside the place where you at your cleanest, or perhaps trying to take a long hot bath after a hectic day.

I totally agree with you but in most cases people don't have the money to go to such extremes because space is so small that your space for privacy is limited and they just don't have the room to do it .Best thing I can think of, good luck in your search for the truth. Later

Well ... being an architectual drafter ... I'd have to say that it might just have something to do with the plumbing. Which is why with 2 story houses, it's smarter to place the downstairs bathroom (if you care to have one) under the upstairs one! Hope this helps!

It has to do with the main plumbing drain and vent are. It is so much easier to tap into the vent and the drain near where there is already one. That is why you need to find out where the main vent and drain pipes follow under the house.

In a tiny house , I guess it would be necessary because of space. But I must admit, I had never thought about it before you asked the question. Now I'm seriously going to think of putting the potty back out in the yard where it belongs.

Depending on who's on or in what, you can at least get in a few words before they can escape.
