sure you can;

start > find > files and folders > favorites

located the favorites folder
select the folder,
right mouse , copy,
right mouse > properties

write down the place in the path where the folder is found.
most likly it will be at c:\windows\favorites
save it to a floppy in drive a , or to a memory stick

restore by copying the file back to c:\windows\favorites

Sure, few ways to do that.
You can put em on a flash drive, cdr, transfer or just email em.
Best way is to get in the routine of makeing Incremental Backups of your PC while it ie working, that way you have ALL the data for any need.
In windows explorer is an IE folder,in that is a file and some others, copy them all, that way you alsol have the settings that you like on IE.

Without a flash drive or a jump drive categorize your favorites in individual folders. Then right click each folder and select compress and email to yourself. I you wipe out your computer just go back to your e-mail and reload your favorites from there. If you are on vacation or on someone Else's computer all you have to do is check your email and bam you are there. You don't have to worry about loosing you flash drive or uploading viruses to someone Else's computer.

definitely you can...
it's residing in the below path of your PC (for Windows XP)

Master Drive
C:\Documents and Settings\\Favorites\

Save the files in the above path into thumb-drive or any other storage method before you restore or reformat your PC's harddisk.. OK.

Hope that I helped to solve your problem...
Cheers!

I know your pain!! I have copied all my favorites on a flash drive....because it took me years to find all them good websites...which is really nice, I can take my flash drive to a friends house and use it, or take it on vacation!

if you are using internet explorer as your browser, open it, click on FILE in top left corner, click on inport-export and save your files on a jump drive, cd-r or maybe floppy if files are not to large. after reinstalling your operating system, open IE, click on file and click on inport-export to inport your favorites from where you saved them. hope this helps.
