Lamb Vindaloo and Potato Samosas.....It is very very hot spicy pieces of meat in a curry sauce with mustard seeds and cooked in mustard oil...Samosas are crispy pastries filled with potatoes and peas. It is just my absolute favorite meal.
Very rich...it stimulates all my senses. It is aromatic, it burns me all the way through, the texture is exquisite, it takes a while to make so I appreciate the quality...it makes my eyelids sweat it is so hot.
I used to make tons of money running my own business. This is one of the things I ate all the time when I had the money to buy it.
Maybe it reminds me of those days.

I like almost anything chocolate, especially Hershey's Milk Chocolate Bars. To be honest, I think it started as a hormonal thing, like a craving during that time of the month. I felt better after I ate it. Then, for years, I couldn't have sweets, and I felt deprived. To some extent, I do think I have been influenced by the "Valentine's Day" mentality, giving candy to your loved ones. So, when I receive chocolates from my hubby, I do feel that I haven't been forgotten, I'm special and loved.

I love Colcannon and Black Beans and Rice for comfort foods as well as many other foods.
The main things for me, when it comes to "comfort" food, is that it must be hot, not cold
moist, not dry
soft, rather than crunchy.
(Crunchy is for when I'm angry-ha ha)
I'm not sure why I'm so attracted to these characteristics.
I only tried Black Beans and Rice last year for the first time, and with the first bite, it tasted like "home", though it was the first time in my life I'd ever had Black Beans at all!

I have eat a lot of food and made myself overweight because, I was trying to keep the male population away from me. Most male especially older male, always want to touch me from a very young age. My way of coping with it was to stay overweight. After lot of counselling I have learnt it doesn't matter what size you are, that some male will not understand the word NO. Now I am trying really hard to lose weight and get myself under control.

It is not a food - but a cup of tea. If I was upset or feeling sick my mother used to make me a cup of tea. So I associate this with her love which is a comfort for me.

Mine is chili. And the reason is because my grandmother use to make a pot of chili whenever I would go to visit her. And when I eat it, it reminds me of spending time with her when I was younger..and it reminds me of all the good times that have passed.

Actually, Popeye's chicken. I love it and whenever I felt a little down, some chicken would pop up and make me feel better. It tastes like home and a bit of my mom's cooking like when I was a happy, little kid. I should get some.

Pink Bubble Gum flavored ice cream, I guess I just like it because ice cream is smooth and delicious and bubble gum adds the extra touch.
