So far only 1. I paid for cellphone faces with a money order and the seller tried to say I never paid and thankfully I saved the receipt because I had to send it to both EBay and the seller. Ebay removed the negative rating from me after I got proof the seller cashed the money order and never sent the merchandise.

Yes I had won an auction for a Handheld PDA and when I contacted the seller she sent me an email saying she would not sell it for the price I won it for. there was not a Reserve Price. Well she asked me to pay more money. We actually argued back and forht over it where I said I would have to report her to Ebay. I finally did have to report her. The bad part was that when I did make a negative comment of her scheme she left me a negative back. Well Ebay ended up kicking her off the Eay site but they did not remove the negative remark she left on my account. It was kind of messed up.

I have bought and sold items on Ebay. I paid for a Playstation game and never received it, but filed a claim and received my money back. As for selling, the post office "lost" one of my packages, so I refunded the buyer's money, so I lost out on that one, but I had good success otherwise with selling. You really have to check the person's feedback rating. Most sellers want positive feedback if they want to continue to sell, so they will try to make you happy by delivering the product in a timely manner. Good luck!

Paid for coins. Never received them. Seller made like a quack and ducked.

Another time I received coins that were far below the "grade" listed. I returned them to seller but never got satisfaction thru ebay. that seller had numerous negative rating but kept on selling.

Now I don't buy from "people" on ebay but bonded dealers on ebay.

You have to really careful who you deal with on Ebay. There are many good buyers and sellers out there - honest people, who are no problem. But there are also scum out there too - who would as soon take your money and run. I had one seller send me items that were completely non-functional, even though she told me they were in like new working condition. I had another seller disappear for 2 months and then accuse me of not responding. I've also gotten some really good deals on merchandise that I've been completely happy with, like my camera, my refrigerator, and stuff for my computer.

I've had things not delivered after I paid, things that came and weren't exactly as described, i.e. mobile phone being described as unlocked when it wasn't, but you can't blame ebay for that, it's the people using it. Generally it's a good place to shop.

My hubby had an account with E-Bay..I checked my Hubbys e-mail 8 months after he passed away and a man wrote and chewed him out for not sending some merchandise the man had ordered. He said My Hubby had cashed his check and he wanted his stuff. He gave the date the transaction occured and everything. (The dates were after my honey's death-months later). He said he was going to call the "authouities". I wrote back to him and to E-Bay and explained this was impossible. Things finally worked out but what a mess I had on my hands.

I've seen a couple, but haven't had one myself.. I'm currenty helping some friends track down someone who has been stealing accounts and post fake auctions for cars and things, and then taking people for thousands of dollars.
