Rove... I hate him, but the man knows what he's doing and he knows his party's voters...

he knows what they will believe and how hard to push it...

and I think it's about 5 percent true... war is H*ll and often everything is not glory.. but that was low... either way...

the guys that spoke against kerry had reports that spoke positively of him at the time... that's fishy...

it all comes down to one man's word vs. another... and the reports were in Kerry's favor...

Rove's friends. Tidy huh?

Swift Boat Veterans for Truth/Funding

A return filed with the Internal Revenue Service by Swift Boat Veterans for Truth states that between April 23, 2004, when it was formed, and June 30, 2004, it had raised $158,750. [1]

Of this amount Bob Perry, described by the Houston Chronicle last year as the single largest Texas donor to the Republican Party, contributed $100,000. John E. O'Neill and Harlan Crow, the owner of Crow Realty Investors, both contributed $25,000. [2]

Perry is described in media reports as a close friend of both Republican Karl Rove and John E. O'Neill. [3]

The three contributors thus accounted for over 94% of the income reported to the IRS. (Another eight donors accounted for the remainder of the groups income). [4]

First, let me preface that I am a loyal Democrat and have been since JFK.

The Swift Boat issue was not a lie. Sorry but that's a fact if you open your eyes.

The real problem is that we again, came up with a lame candidate. John Kerry is a super-rich, uppercrust, tax evader who was saying 'do as I say, not as I do'.

In 2008 we need to put up a candidate with vision, a leader, an orator and someone who's past is not full of lies. I am not sure who is our best candidate but Kerry is a loser.

Actually the whole story was told by the men who served with him in Vietnam, the only people who supported Kerry in his side of the story was Kerry himself,a man whos life he supposedly saved and I believe his admiral,a man who probably never met him unless at a military ceremony. All the rest of his comrades had the exact same story, which became the swift boat "lie" At no time has Kerry ever shown himself in public life to be a man of honor,so why should we believe his side of swift boat story when he was unsupported by all but one of the actual men he served with. Oh by the way you do realize that he in essence admitted to commiting war crimes while testifying in front of congress after Vietnam,so why should we want a war criminal as president?

What lie? The Vietnam vets that he was supposed to be serving next to, simply exposed the weasel.

Neither, a separate group who was targeting Kerry in particular.

There was no lie.

Fellow service men denounced Kerry for his actions in Vietnam.
