This is a pivotal, important time.
Look at yourself and your life.
List your beliefs, and try to make each belief-sentence be as short and to the point as possible.
Look over those beliefs and list where they are linked to each other, which ones support each other, which ones contradict.

Look over which beliefs have resulted negatively for your life.
Determine what beliefs you could have had instead of thsoe, and be honest....if the beliefs you chose would have made you into an angel, scrap those and be realistic.

Create a list of your beliefs that you are going to keep, and add beliefs that are going to replace the ones that have done you harm. Then go out into a wilderness area, fast for a couple of days, and go thru a rite that symbolizes your commitment to change (I stood naked under a cold waterfall until I felt that the past was frozen out of me and I wanted desperately to live a new life, and crawled out onto the warm, sunlit shore). You might change your name as a part of this.

To do more research before you begin, read Bonewits' Real Magic and search the internet on the subject: 'initiation'.

Simple..you figure out what it is you are putting out or doing that isn't working. No matter in what area of life. In relationships whether it's a friend or romantic partner there may come a time that it just doesn't work..the same is true for your profession and everything else. It's tough and I've been through it more times than I can count. But a bit of honest self appraisal and changing direction as well as perspectives will usually straighten things out. Don't beat your head against a brick wall.

Kelly, my darlin' sometimes life works out my way - I call it a miracle! During the other times I write satire. Some I share and some is a 'cautionary tale for my children.' Whatever it takes to return laughter is what I do. Rent a good movie if you don't write - or better yet, write what happened in a way that will bring you laughter. Sometimes the funniest moments happen in real life - other times, they happen in the retelling of the adventures! The trick is to keep on trying.

Hun, life has never worked out the way that I've planned it. If you want to make the spirits laugh, tell them your plans, then you have to live thiers rofl. Just keep your chin up and your smile a going and just remember that everything does have its purpose and its lesson to learn. We may not like the medicine we have to take in this life, but taking it is a lot easier for the body and soul to heal.

Well, based on my own experiences & those of people I know, I think I can honestly say:
Life NEVER turns out quite the way we want or expect.
SO, What to do?
Learn to appreciate life as it is, get a grip, stop sniveling, don't beat yourself up, look on the bright side, count your blessings, stop & smell the roses, etc. I know this advice seems rather cliche'd, but I've found it helpful nevertheless. But what has sustained me the most is a belief in God.

You lose the "woe is me" attitude and stop the pity party and find a positive spin to put on things. Thats the only way things are ever going to start to seem better. You can't feel sorry for yourself because then others will feel bad for you and treat you like the sorry puppy that you come off as. Hold you're head high and focus on positives.

Stop whining !!!! You think you're the first? Log off and go do something nice for someone else. A phone call (to cheer up, not cry) , a letter (remember when we used to be able to write), walk down the street and smile at a stranger. We make are OWN miracles - don't just sit and wait for it to happen. Good Luck, truly - good luck.

Name one person whose life has worked out their way. Whether you are a failure or a sucess. Everyone has expectations that are will never happen.... Life is what it is life and you can make everyday count even the ones that don't go your way.

You quit thinking about what you expected, and start dealing with things as they are. Life may not always work out as you planned (mine certainly didn't!) but it doesn't mean you can't start moving in a different direction and find something just as fulfilling - or maybe even better than you originally planned!
