Most likely it was just urine, that happens frequently with women. Your bladder was more than likely not completely empty and the strain from coughing caused the urine to expel. This happens even more often with women who have had children or if you are pregnant, as it weakens and puts pressure on the bladder. If it was some other type of discharge it would happen whether you coughed or not. Don't worry it is completely normal from time to time.

It is probably urine, coughing increases the pressure on your bladder, if you are having a slight discharge with your pregnancy it could have been that also. Doubtful that it was amniotic fluid b/c that stays pretty well sealed till your water breaks.

VERY possible that its urine. I'm 8 1/2 months and its gotten to the point where if I have to cough or sneeze or anything like that...I've gotta cross my legs to keep it in! LOL! My bladder control during that stuff has gone out the window!

Amniotic fluid is usually pinkish. Sniff it to see if it is urine. Wear a pad and see if it keeps coming. You could just go see the dr too. Actually, that is what I would do if I wasn't sure.

It's probably urine, how pregnant are you? If you have more leaks like this, mention it to your doctor, and keep up with those pelvic floor exercises.
