i just received a letter from verizon DSL and their giving me a deal i dont know the whole comp terminology but if i do get it at their price its 768Kbps is that good or should i find something better?:sigh1:

for dsl, that is about the lowest speed they will go. If you are on dialup, it will be about 10-12 times faster, if you currently have broadband service, more than likely it will be a downgrade in service.

The normal dsl service where I live is 3 mpbs, and if fios is available, you can attain up to 15mbps you will be getting .768 mbps to put it simply.

Cable service is usually faster, but they have a lower band of service that matches the dsl offering, then 3, 7, 10, 15, and for business class, 20 mpbs available.
