ok there are no rules but normally you give them a 15% gratuity. If you feel like they deserve a tip, then you should tip them but you might want to only give them a 10% or 5% tip because all they have to do is bring the food to your car. It just depends on how their service is and how much YOU feel they have earned. After all, you are the one paying for it.

I alway leave at least a dollar, but if the tab is like $10.00 I'll leave a little more. They don't make much and they have to make a living. If I go to places like Outback where they bring out the food, I'll give them a couple of bucks cause the food is much more expensive there. In general, I'm a good tipper. Based on service, of course.

For nicer places at least 15% depending on the service. For Sonic, at least 10% or if the waitress is good, go as high as 20%

I usually tip a dollar at sonic, and a few dollars at carside to go places. They act as wait staff because they are the ones that take your order put it all together and then bring it out to you. I usually go to the same ones and they know when I come by, I usually get quick service.

I think anytime you are served well, it is appropriate to tip. As to the amount at a fast food restaurant, place yourself in the servers position, what would you expect?

Yes, I think they are considered servers also..so, I give them $1.00 or $2.00...depends on the amount of food ordered.

I don't know if these are right. I've never tipped there....it's part of their job and their company's "draw." It's nice to tip, but I really don't think you are SUPPOSED TO.
