I have a lambskin rug that is getting dusty and yellowed. It has the skin attatched and is very soft and fluffy.

You could handwash it in cool water. You could also do a gentle cool wash in the machine - I do it to mine and it's fine :-)

You can handwash it in cool water using a gentle soap like woollite so you doesn't remove the oils in the leather then hang it outside to dry.
From a carpet cleaner of 14 years.

Take it to a Dry Cleaners that know how to treat(clean) leather. DO NOT WASH IT! You can expect a big bill too. I work at a cleaners. If someone wants a leather coat cleaned there is a $50.00 pre-paid fee. Then the cost of the cleaning on top of that. We send it to other cleaners in St.Louis.
