ok, in the mid-western states ppl are killing horses to make dog food and glue. but the way the ppl are killing them are un-human. this problem is mostly in neveda and i live in georgia in a small country town. wat can i do to help?

If we lived in the movies, my solution would be two words, Billy Jack. I loved that movie. Unfortunately from the words of Allan Jackson, here in the real world it's not that easy at all.
I would find out if the way they go about killing these horses is legal and if not get the story out to the media. If it is legal, then you have to find another way to fight this battle. And I hope you find it and I truly admire your conviction to help these animals.
I too live in a small country town in Georgia and I know how much people here love animals. I wish you luck.

Start a petetion call your local spca do anything hand flierrs in stores that say stopp killing horses! Why the heck would people be doing that im so annoyed oh my god why would they do that i mean i thought they said they stopped using horses for glue.... those lyars

The ASCPA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) is a good place to start. E-mail them from their website or write the state chapter. Also, the Humane Society of the US is another good advocacy group. PETA is wonderful. PETA folks will actually become human shields against the evil persons wanting to hurt animals. I support all of these causes and as a Vegan (I eat nor use any animal products) I LIVE a good example for others who don't want to harm animals. E-mail and write your Democratic congressperson, too. The Democrats are more able to and want to help the helpless and are better advocates. Good luck and thanks for loving animals. We need more of us in this world!

For crying out loud Anna, they've been killing horses for dog food for lots of years now, and you just decided to get excited about it??? Try to mess with these people and you get the wrath of the pet lovers (dog & cat). They continue to let their animals roam and procreate so the demand for pet foods is increasing.
Don't you get excited by thinking how the cow or chicken you eat everyday died??? And please explain exactly how they should kill a healthy living animal that is not un-humane???

Well you can go to where ever they are doing this and protest, I would gather up a whole bunch of ppl to help you. I would, becouse I am a horse owner and lover myself and I hate to hear about this kind of stuff. If you do go trough with this, "May The Horse Be With You"!

talk to the government, write letters to the mayor and what not in that state. There's a lot of different things that you can do. Get creative with it. I have some newsletters of what to do with this...you can e-mail me sometime and I will send them to you...

write a letter to the president or your governor. you just need to let some political leader know what is going on. if you don't do something, those poor horseys will be hurt!
