Neosporin is the best. Apply a good amount over your tattoo and loosely bandage it with gause. Keep your new tattoo out of direct sunlight as this can lead to quicker fading.

I had one and used neosporin for 1 week straight. It healed nicely and now 12 years later, other than some fading, it still looks great :)

Neosporin is best. Keep it clean and covered with bandage and neosporin the first 2-3 days (your artist should have told you that and/or provided a cream for the tatt). From what I know of tattoo goo is either the gel you use on it or the junk that can form on it from lack of care.

When I got my tattoos, the guy who did them actually gave me cream from his own shop. It was called "Goo". Technical term, I know...But it's a special cream to keep the tattoo from drying out. I think it might be safe to put neosporin on it, but I would call the tattoo artist first, just to be safe! Oh...And I've always been told not to cover it...but again, ask the artist!

I always use Neosporin or just a light cocoa butter lotion to prevent it from itching and scaring.

Bacitracin ointment, and covered with gauze so it won't scab over.
