Most of us have some thing that must be done on a daily basis are a burden. I took care of my mother for about 15 years seeing her daily and arguing with her about medications, what she should eat, how much she should walk those kind of things. I admit that I saw this as a burden that I alone bore with at times anger, which in fact was fear. Fear that she would die and I would be blamed, I have brothers and sisters. Now as I look back on how it was and how it is now without her, I see the blessings that could have been enjoyed. So I've change the way I look at things and never fail to see the blessings and lessons too are blessings in disguise.

Not a burden, but a learning experience...lots of yrs of it too... accepting things that are handed to us, not by choice...and still dealing with every day life...which is hard enough sometimes by itself...having a child with disabilities and accepting things we can not change, but can accept more challenges in different ways...and still have a good life...burden, no...more love given to me, even tho there have been times it sure didn't feel like it...Doesn't matter our age...we still have yet to learn many things...we can take it as a burden or we can accept....
~PEACE~

Sometimes taking care of my family. Sometimes. It seems like after a while they could learn to do for themselves without my constantly having to keep after them. My husband is 50 and won't watch what he eats or exercise unless I keep after him. Same with my 23 yr old daughter.(mentally challenged) That gets old after a while.

my mom and brother are alcoholics. ive tried talking to them but alcoholics are stubborn. i dont have a license to drive so i cant force them to go to rehab or such. this problem made the love of my life walk away. (i live with my mom by the way). he stayed with us for a year. we were together for 3 years total (actually he broke up with me a month before our 3 year anniversary) anyways, we got back together after 4 months of separation. he lives back up where he used to before. im afraid he will walk out on me again. to sum it all up- im afraid my mom and brother are going to drive him away from me again.
