Check in your community to see if there are agencies that do this , it wont be a state of the art computer, but it will do what you need it to.
Or check on ebay, you can get good ones inexpensively. Same with newspaper classifieds.
Also try freecycle ... I got an older but excellent condition toshiba laptop for my daughter there.

try a rent a center er one of those rent to own places...you'll start you credit off and you'll get a pc
