If i had to pick an individual it'd be Paul. Most of my favourites are his. However, judging by Wings' Greatest Hits, he needed John to tell him when he was being rubbish and the other way round.

It takes all four to be the Beatles. Take one away, and they aren't the Beatles. I remember seeing them on the Ed Sullivan Show. WOW!

John Lennon, not just the greatest beatle but one of the greatest human beings, a man who truly belived in peace. i believe if he wasalive today he would be a politician (and a good one at that) if more people were like John Lennon the would truly be a more peaceful beautiful place (plus he wrote some great songs)

Clue: If Paul sang it with the Beatles that normally meant John wrote it and vice versa. John was the better writer and Paul the better singer so they did that to achieve balance in the sound. You can read more anbout this in the book Beatlemania which catalogs their songs. I would say John.
