Yes, they actually won the first World Series in 1903 (I think that was the year).
They used to be a power in the National League years ago...Honus Wagner!!
The last time they won the World Series was in 1979.
Too bad small markets can not compete in MLB anymore. Something should be done about that!!!

Yes they did in 1979. against Baltimore, and that was the last time I remember them winning anything beside a trying reputation..

when they last won it in '79, their season long 'theme' was 'we are family'. they played the song by sister sledge on the PA system every night
