Not all women get sick. And morning sickness isn't limited to just the morning. With me - I didn't ever throw up. It was just a constant feeling of nausea that wouldn't go away. I know some women who never get sick, and some who are so sick they have to take a pill or be on an IV in order to get nutrition.
So yes, it is normal to feel sick without throwing up.

The effects of pregnancy vary from woman to woman. Some have no morning sickness, some feel sick and others are physically sick. Personally My morning sickness began when I was 2 months gone and last until I was near 8 months pregnant. I was physically sick anywhere from once to 3 or 4 times a day. Every day. My baby was born a healthy 7lbs 9. It was hard to keep food down but anything I did eat I made sure it was healthy and also made sure I had 1 actimel, fruit and milk everyday. I hope your sickness is not that bad but I think normally it only last for the first 3 months. Good luck

'morning sickness' can be any time of the day and you don't actually have to be sick. It's usually just the feeling that you will be but then don't. I had morning sickness (rarely actually sick) but the feeling sick bit was awful bit. Sometimes the sickness can last all day but you are never physically sick. Caused by the raging hormone changes. Some women don't even get the sickness (sometimes a bad sign). This sicky period should only last form week 6 to week 12...long enough though enh!!

Absolutely not....didn't even know I was pregnant with my first, just noticed (after 4 months) my boobs were getting a little bigger and I started eating way more snicker bars! I'd still kind of had a period, thought I was just "spotting" though, after going off the pill.
Had absolutely no sickness at All....but the worst deliveries in the history of the family!! 3 days labor! They say ya get one or the other!
Good luck, you'll be fine...by the way, they say if you're really throw up a lot the 1st time, it's a girl!

I was physically sick up until about lunch time every day for the first four months with my first pregnancy,it was exhausting!
I FELT sick for the first four months with my second pregnancy but never actually was & i have to say i found this worse! The feeling used to last all day long & it was horrible never actually getting the temporary relief after actually physically being sick.

This is totally normal. I have 'morning sickness' without throwing up. Its more like a very strong nausea. I had it very bad the first 2 months, I couldn't eat anything, and the smell of food made me feel like I wanted to throw up, but now I can eat again, and the smell of food doesn't make me feel ill. I just feel a little ill throughout the day now, and as annoying as that is, hopefully it means it'll be gone soon.

I felt sick a lot when I was pregnant (particularly with my 2nd child) but was never actually sick. I found the key to me feeling better was to either suck a fruit sweet or mint or keep eating regularly (although obviously when it got too bad I didn't feel like doing either).
I know a lot of women who weren't actually sick, even my sister who had twins and was told it would be even worse for her, so don't worry too much, it isn't that likely you will be sick.

No, not all the women get morning sickness (i should maybe say sickness as some women get it all the time).
I've been pregnant with twins, my cousin with a boy, my mother with 2 girls and my sister one boy and a girl. We 've been lucky, we had nothing.
But you should ask your mother, and other women in your family, if they didn't, then you probably won't.
In any case, congratulations.
