I believe all restaurant doors have to be 6 ft tall in case of a fire, so fire hoses/equipment will fit through easily, and for tall people LOL

you didn't say which way the tape was if across then to stop anyone from entering until your seated,up and down more then likely are for children to see if the need a special seat
