i love some of the answers by wannabe scientists!!! listen folks. you add the "justs" and the "simplicity" as a way of dealing with the fact that the why's and the hows are unable to be grasped by human beings. science can only put puzzle peices together (and give them names like DNA etc) but they can't tell you why the puzzle is there.... and so. the text books you read are based on empirical fact....right.... but they will not cover the boundaries where research cant go.... so

what is the point in asking? (it's recursive and you have no hope in answering)

the more important question is, why do you want to know? the answer isn't important it's the fact that you can ask (see above).

and no im not religious.... or a scientist....or a humanist.... or an "ist". im me. open minded.

In a nutshell, we sleep when we are tired, and we eat when we are hungry. By what we do we give meaning, or understanding, to our lives. It seems to me the only sensible answer must be based upon life inside each of us, not an abstract concept to be defined like an external object "out there" somewhere. We comprehend or understand life by the choices we make or fail to make. The final proof of the importance of choice is shown by the law of cause and effect, or karma. What goes arouond, comes around. You get back pretty much what you give out. Like Abraham Lincoln said, "Most people are just about as happy as they make up their minds to be."

Life is a challenge and we have to get through it even if people put us down, or any disaster happens. Overall, it's an unforgettable experience and remember you only live once. That is what I think is the true meaning of life.

Everyone has a relatively short life on Earth.
The moment you are born, you begin to die.
Everyone's time is counting down.

So:

Life live.
Enjoy everyday.
Do good.

Why waste you life with worry, stress, anger, guilt, regret...

Life is meant to be enjoyed while you have it.

Life is to be lived in the one who created us and all things. We were made to have fellowship with God. And we were here to be witnesses of His son Jesus Christ. Life lived any other way is fruitless.

We can't. The meaning is in the living. Walk confidently into the future, achieve what you can and reach for the stars.

What if it is not to be comprehended - rather lived, preferably for others.
