I'm starting a business and need to set up a basic website. I've tried before but always had problems getting it to work properly. Any suggestions, hints, ideas, tricks, anything that will make this easy and non-stressful would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your time.

Microsoft (free domain and hosting for life) ,
Google (Googlepages, Blogger) ,
Yahoo (Geocities),
Freewebs are some of the companies offering free websites with design tools .

I'd suggest getting some practice with geocities.com
The more professional webpage providers are probably more advanced than geocities. brushing up on some HTML skills would help. Plus setting up a geocities account is free and easy, you use your yahoo account to do it. The only bad thing is the free webpage you build only allows so many ppl to view your page each day, then it closes down. Thats when you have to pay for more bandwidth.
