Read the first chapter in the bible in the book of Genesis. The term "day" is not the 24 hour period that we know of here on earth... it is just a period of time that occurred to complete the action of that "day." Creation was completed in six "days" and God rested on the seventh day... after creation was completed. That set the model for our week. "7" is a mystical number in the spiritual realm.

There is 7 days because well no one really knows, i guess its because thats a fair weekend, if you done it like 5 days then are lifes will be far more quicker and not alot more farer. so i guess thats why there is 7 days. That answer?
