Actully, its a misconciption that werewolfs die by silver bullits. Yeh, they sting like hel but if you wear wolfs pelts, its no protecshun at all.

Lupins (often called warewolves) are killed by silver nitrate or silver. Another way to keep them at bay is wolf's bane, stinks to high heaven, but it works, also great for vampires as well. Wolf's bane doesn't kill them, just scares them from you is all. There are several sources in legend that you can find that has the mythology and legends of the lupins, hollywood has expanded on these legends, but they are there though.

Silver of any kind thrust into a werewolf will kill it, however,mistletoe is used as a werewolf repellent.
In England, rye, cinder, mistletoe, silver and ash trees are good means of protection from a werewolf.

There are no movie kind of werewolves. There is what is known as shape-shifters. It is a magic that is practiced by some shamans around the worlds.
