*tickled* I applaud you curious orange.
To answer your question: a big one. Or more precisely: The term stick denotes something that is made of wood and is too small to be a 'pole'. however, in relation to the size of the moon: a radius of 1740 km i'd say you could use what in human terms is called a pole - to safely impale an object of that magnitude (a stick may snap which could have disasterous tidal consequences here on earth). A pole can be any size. there you go perfect answer.
It is now time to drink your weak lemon drink.

You will need a big stick to say the least. But it sounds like a good project so I will help. First things first. How high do you intend to raise the moon? Also do you want a secure fixing so you can swing the ball. Or use as a snooker type thing. That sort of stuff.

A stick that could make it through thousands of miles of rock. Good Luck.

I would make an order with your local sawmill for a gigantic cocktail stick. You be then able to dip it into your martini, and also wave it around at parties and gatherings.
Unless you wanted to freeze it, then obviously a lolly-stick.

A cocktail stick should be fine, I just measured the moon for you and its less than two inches diameter on my ruler.
