I had this problem before and I ended up calling my OB/GYN about it. They told me not to head to the ER unless it continued. It ended up slowing down. They recommended lying down with my feet propped up, and that seemed to help. However, if you've been dealing with this for two days now and nothing has changed, you should probably give your doctor a call, or head to the ER. If you're unsure about something, it's better to be on the safe side and seek a medical opinion.

If you are filling a normal sized pad every hour and i mean filling it then yes go to the ER. You are having too much bleeding.
If you mean your tampon has some blood on it and it is leaking on to the pad, then no you are having a heavy period.
Some women have heavy heavy periods. But if this is your first, then get it assessed.

If you feel like your weakness and pain merit and trip to the ER, then I would go. If you are really losing that much blood, and are in that much pain, then that's what I would do....or go to a local Medical practice open to the public. But you need to find out what's going on.

You can always call the ER and tell them your symptoms. Some other info would have been nice here...for example are you sexually active? If you are and there is a chance you could be pregnant then this could be quite a big problem...you may be having a miscarriage...You can always check out webmd

your period is just changing. I used to get heavy periods for along time, now they are so light. As long as you don't bleed like this for a week you are fine.

No, not the ER. Not for this.
I used to have that problem.
See your gyn as soon as possible. She/he can advise you better than we can.
