I have a dragon ring tied to a string around my neck. Whenever someone touches it or picks it up off of my chest I get a srong vibration (literally vibrating) from the ring and where the ring was sitting on my chest.

Also, it seems to pick up other peoples emotions. A girl who was having a bad day touched my ring and I got really upset and emotional for no reason. There have been many simiIar happenings with this ring. I have never gotten such odd feelings from a piece of jewelry before.

It hasn't started acting like this until very recently. I am just starting in a new form of magick (dragon magick to be presise). Do you think it might have anything to do with that? Are ther any other objects which react in this way?

I have never purposely charged it with magick since I've had it.

Ok yes your ring has picked up on your dealings with magic, often a necklace or a pendant will do that as it lies close to your heart when you have it on. A ring will pick up on it too if its on your finger always as well, like a wedding ring will pick up magic from a person, that is why its used as pendulums alot.

Now on to dragon magic. Please be careful in doing this. Dragons are notrious on being trickers of magick. They can be helpful as well as decietful. So use wisdom as well as caution ok. But greatest of luck to you in this, I love dragon magick myself as I too use it from time to time, but like I said, be most careful as it is the using the hard stuff ok.

What's most likely happening is that your subconscious has made a link between the type of magick you are now learning and the form of the ring, and so is using it as a focus for what you automatically consider (as opposed to thinking about it and then deciding to consider) the most basic power: "empathy".
Empathy is not a bad place to start, and if this symbol works well for you, by all means use it and stop being dismayed by it.

Symbol-sets and other foci are like the 'magic feather' for Dumbo, Dumbo could fly anyway, and humans do magick anyway, but all of our fables, myths, and comic books or movies have people that use magic(k) depending upon or using things, gestures, & incantations,, so our subconscious-s expect when we get into magic(k) that we will need to depend upon such things as well.
The thing is, just because we understand why the 'crutches' work so well, we can't just throw them away and do the magick as well as before; actually once you understand how and why your mind works, you become ennabled to 'design' crutches that work better for you. But be aware that any power you use, regardless of what item or symbol it seems to be in, is actually yours from the start. Look for things that automatically impress you, use your favorite colors and other correspondences, invoke your own power as thoroughly as you would any Deity 'outside' of yourself....

Honestly, I've never heard of that before, but where did you get it? Wherever it was might help explain it. Also, if you think about it, whatever magic can't just be in the ring, you probably have some sort of special talent that connects with it- like the emotion thing. That might all be you, but you kind of feel it through the ring? Sorry, if this doesn't help at all. If I knew what the ring exactly looked like, it's history, and so on i might have come up with a better answer, but i don't know, sorry.

All magic is very powerful. You may have unconsciously charged it with magic. It may also be a talisman and you feel the need to have it close to your heart for protection or strenght. Therefore, when it is removed or touched by someone else, it magnifies your own feelings about that. Be careful in your magic practice, what you throw out comes back three times. Try to learn from someone who knows, rather than wading in by yourself. Make very sure you harm none.

the ring in itself is not magikal, it is just a trinket that you were attracted to that acts as a "focus" for your own abilities. In time, you won't even need the ring. Sometimes people don't believe in themselves very much, especially in this blind society, so the ring is something that you belive in more than yourself. Keep it though, like a talisman or medicine bag. it can help you learn a lot about yourself that western society does not accept as possible.

Wow that is awesome. I don't know to much about that stuff but it is all so interesting to me. The ring sounds way cool where did you purchase it from. Maybe you can go back and ask if it was previously owned.

Wow. I realize this isn't much of an answer, but I've been looking for information on Wiccanism for a while, and I would love if you could email me at wickedmadrachic@yahoo.com about your religion/lifestyle. I would love to know more about this culture and history.

Could be. I've never really read about before, so I don't know for sure. But it sounds like magick to me.

It's a tool that you are unconsciously using to focus your own gifts. You need to find a mentor.
