When I ordered it I choose it from a catalogue, It was a really pretty headboard. When they delivered the bed the man said that the headboard was no longer in stock and bought another headboard instead a plain looking one. He said since it is not my fault he would not charge me a extra £15.00 as this headboard and bedstand are more expensive. I didn't complain but now I feel like I've been taken for a ride. What do you think guys.

Shall I go to the shop and ask for a better headboard?

Hindsight being 20/20, you should've told them immediately that the bed they brought is not the one you ordered and you don't want it.

Now, I would go back (if it was a store) or call them and tell them you are not at all happy with it and you want the bed that you originally ordered instead of the one they brought. If they tell you the bed you want is not available, then ask when it will be available. If they tell you they can't get it at all. Then ask for your money back.

you could go to the shop and complain, but did you take it out of the wrapper?, did you phone the catalogue straight away to complain? and how long has it been since the delivery?.

Legally (if there is a returns policy check how long it is valid for) if you took this man at his word and accepted the head board then you must keep it especially if it has been taken out of the packaging.

However it is always worth telling a company that you are not happy, because a valued customer is a happy one and they should (although they don't have to) deal with your request for an exchange for the item pictured or a full refund.

clearly if they have not got the headboard you ordered they should have given you the opportunity of picking another one for yourself or cancelling the order. If you do not want of accept what they are offering by all means go and see the manager of the shop and complain

"quite chilly?" Pfft! :) I stay interior the Yukon Territory, interior the north of Canada, and we get to -50C in a classic iciness, and less warm than that throughout a undesirable one. I extremely have sheets, a cover AND blankets on my mattress! properly, the blanket is in part by way of fact my wolf canines likes to eat them, and there are some holes on the canopy to important to patch, so, I positioned a blanket over them to assist save the stuffing in. And to give up him eating it. while it gets chilly, I upload a 2d blanket as properly. And an electric area heater. My mattress room can bypass all the way down to 8C on extremely chilly days if the door to the hall is closed. Come summer season, the place the temps can to into the 30'sC, frequently purely a sheet, or perhaps a easy blanket as properly. It would not get that cool at evening, frequently by way of fact there is not lots of a evening to talk of. In summer season, the solar is up approximately 20 hours an afternoon, and it is easy (twilight) the different 4 as properly. I extremely have an exquisite feather cover that I have been given at Ikea for an impossibly affordable. My ex thought it became too heat, yet, i like it. i'm in simple terms afraid to apply it. i will look ahead to the wolf canines to advance out of the chewing point. it is easy, thick, fluffy, and quite heat. sigh

I don't get the ride part, but either you like it or you don't. You have an option to return the headboard if you don't like it.

Heck yes I would go straight to that shop. That is sad that they did this to you. I would also complain to the BBB, and then call the store manager or district manager. Good Luck!!

Absolutely, they should have first called you to let you know the original item you ordered was out of stock & asked what you wanted to do. Go back & demand what you want.

Yep goods delivered not as represented at sale.
however as you accepted their offered alternative, I doubt that you have any recourse in law.
