The answer is clear-cut: The alcoholic, of course. That person has a habit that affects not only his/her body, but others as well - drunk driving, mood swings, inconsistent performance at work. Except for second-hand smoke, the smoker is only harming him/herself. Who would you rather date?

though it's bad to date any, its worse to date an alcholic because they will be drunk there and then. Smokers are just people with bad habits that are gonna die over time.

An alcoholic. Smokers don't have the erratic crazy behavior as the alcoholics. At least not caused by smoking :)

dating an alcoholic. at least with a smoker you don't have to worry about them falling all over and having to put them to bed. you can always by a smoker some chewing gum and an airfreshener.

I've done both, the Alcoholic had to go! The smoker never laid a hand on me when he had one too many smokes.

A smoker doesn't beat you because they are drunk, they don't throw up everywhere because they have had to much to drink.
I think I would rather date a smoker over an alcohlic any day.
