Hmmm, I've got heartlessness, greed, bigotry, blame, "what god do they pray to"-- obviously one that likes to see children die a slow death!",

Organized religions, protestant ethics, etc... only exist to justify unfair positions of power for some individuals over others (nobility, burgeoise, priests, kings, absolutist monarchs, etc.) and to cement the unfair social order of the Middle Ages and, to a lesser extent, of our modern age.
Religion is the opiate of the masses.
If there's a God, he obviously does not interfere on human affairs.
We must take the power from those who hold it unfairly. We must work together to bring prosperity for all, and not just for pampered world elites. Mankind has to sort out its problems on its own, not expect for them to be solved magically.

They came about poverty by disobediency, plus the worship of false gods. The people in the US that are poor from generation to generation are for some of the same reasons remained in this predicament. Blame God if you must, but then you don't really beleive do you?

Yeah, he sure seems to like creating them and then not lifting a fu*cking finger to do anything about it - isn't it amazing how that pattern is manifested almost perfectly by the Catholic Church. And, of course, the right-wing Conservatives rape-torture-kill God actually gets off on it because for them human suffering is sexually exciting.

Used to be everytime an aid bill was passed, the Christian's representatives would tack a rider on the bill saying the money cannot be spent on birth control.... so our government has been feeding the problem - no pun intended.

Well, God gave us free will and if them idiots in Africa want to live in the deseret with sand and nothing grows there, maybe Darwin is at work. I vote they all go away. It should be WE who take care of the poor. That's why God put US here. Last time I checked, it was American Christians who give the most to the poor compared to everyone else.
