bit of both, I'm not into 80's rock much.
I like Alice in Chains
I really liked Creed
one of my first rock loves was Nirvana
Later on I started liking Metallica a lot! More than I thought I would.
It really depends, I just like rock music period. But there is a certain type of sound or style some bands have that I find unique. Sometimes a rock song will take a while to grow on me ..and after that, I'll love it. Other times, I'll love a certain rock song - right off the bat. Some of it's Hard rockin' other times I love the so called ballads. Sometimes, I prefer loud and other times mellow. It all just depends.

I normally rock hard but I've been known to listen to a few "soft" songs on a rare occasion!!!
