I found on the Watley Archhives website that a team of Japanese researchers found it sometime in April of 2004.

By the way, if the end was actually found, then it wouldn't be an irrational number, or a repeating decimal, or a tran-whatever number. So please stop saying that just because it's a repeating decimal, it's not got a last decimal, because if it does have one, isn't a repeating decimal. All I'm saying is that we shouldn't be too sure that it's not got a last number. If the Japanese say they've got the last number, maybe they do.

Pi is an irrational decimal number. Decimal numbers are infinite. So I'm guessing what you read is not true.

I am sure that if there was a final digit found I would know about it by now. I have not even heard that it doesn't have an infinite amount of digits. I am sure I would have heard about that revelation. The number should most definitely not be finite. I seriously doubt the validity of that claim, and at best it must be at this point just a claim and not substantiated by the mathematicians of the world.

That is not correct. Pi is a socalled trancendental number and it has been proven to have an infinite number of decimals.

The Japanese researchers that claimed that they calculated Pi to a terminal value of 1.3511 trillion decimal places using a computer have not had success with their proof. It has been proven that pi is trancendental, however. If it was finite, it couldn't be trancendental, because all finite numbers are algebraic

there is not any very final digit of pi, as, like all irrational selection, the digits after the decimal factor improve to infinity, without ever repeating themselves, cyclically. i think if by skill of "digit" you propose :the selection interior the ":gadgets" place, next to the decimal factor, the respond is 3.

Absolutely not! Pi is an irrational number, meaning that its digits will continue in meaningless patterns forever. Its first ten digits, excluding the 3, are .1415926535.
3.1415926535... equals pi.

I find that doubtful, considering the decimal is infinite.

Dude -- it's an INFINITE sequence. There IS no end. There is NO "final digit" because it is INfinite. Is there something you don't understand about the word INFINITE???
