were they nike shox? there are several different kinds of nikes that are quite popular/ cute.. go to the nike website.. i think its just www.nike.com and find the style you want.. then you can buy it there if they have it or search for the style on google or some search engine to find the particular shoe you want.. there you can find many good shoe sites like zappo's..
ohh and also if you cant find it there try finish line or lady foot locker

why don't you call your friend and say "where did you get those awsome nikes? I would love to get a pair". thats the easiest way.
