Cumulus is clouds that are accumulating, nimbus is moisture, so cumulus-nimbus is a cloud that has moisture but is expanding. cirrus is a whispy cloud. stratus is high clouds.

Nebulus is an accumulation of clouds, or a bunch of solar systems.
Tempus Nebulosus = cloudy weather.

"nubes" is the general word for cloud
"nimbus" can mean storm cloud or rain storm
"nebula" is another possibility in poetic usage
