This is USUALLY the case. Not ALWAYS, just USUALLY.

So why would this be? Is it because swimming feels less competitive? Or do females just dislike the impact that running has on their body?

Thanks.

I'm not a woman. But let me have a stab at this. I'm an amateur triathlete. I have some theories.

Women's bodies are built more streamlined for swimming. Men's shoulders plow through the water like barges, not yachts. In swimming, SHAPE is everything. No matter how much I train, I will NEVER be a fast swimmer. My body just drags through the water. I can swim faster than a lot of women. But I have to plow like heck to do it. So swimming loses a lot of its "fun" value when it's that much work.
Now I'm a slow runner too, but that's a whole other issue. I happen to be fastest on the bike, because short legs aren't a disadvantage on a bike. Overall, I'd say running is not such a chore for the average guy as swimming even if he can plow through the water and swim overall faster, but for women running is more of a chore than swimming because they can slip through the water with much less effort.
Hope this helps.

Personally, I HATE swimming, so I would never choose it. Once my doctor told me that I was getting injured too much and should swim instead of run, but I told her I'd get depressed if I quit running. I love the competitiveness of running and always have to beat someone with my kick at the end.
I don't know where you live, but I don't think the females you are talking about are typical.

i can not provide you somewhat some suggestion because of the fact i do no longer understand the scale of your tank. besides the undeniable fact that, i can inform you that 2 lady bettas should not be stored in the comparable tank because of the fact, nonetheless they do no longer look to be as aggressive because of the fact the adult males, they are going to combat and finally get a fungal an infection from bite wounds. additionally, all tetras are education fish and could have a minimum of 5 to be rather effectual (nonetheless for a small tank 3 would be beneficial on the grounds which you do no longer p.c. to characteristic too many at a time). as a procedures because of the fact the swordtails and the platies bypass, they are education fish and likewise livebearers meaning that they could be stored with one male to 2 or 3 women human beings. sturdy luck!

when the bra making industry can come up with a Decent Sports bra for women with sizes C and up cups, then maybe we'll consider running instead of swimming. Until then, you can just enjoy our hot bodies in out bathing suits! Cuz I know I can't stand running and getting hit in the chin by my own breasts.

Running makes our boobies bounce. It's not a good look when you're a well-endowed lass!

I personally prefer swimming because it's what I'm good at. Having said that, give me a decent sports bra, and I'll outrun you to the bus stop too!!

I love to run. I know several women who don't like to, though. I've heard them say things like "it's hard" or "i don't like the feeling of my feet pounding".
