Do you believe that if for example we say that 10% of people are homosexuals,so 10% of my schoolmates are homosexuals or 10% of the people I see everyday are homosexual?
I mean do you think that we can say this in smaller communities?

There is a phenomenon that anthropologists and sociologist have known about homosexuality, that is, its' percentage is always around 15% of a population. This even has to do with ancient peoples and cultures leading up to today. But to answer if your small town has 10% (15% technically) of people you know are gay? maybe and maybe not, your town might have 30% or more and the next town 0%. percentage is based on statistical averages.
Other phenomenon like this; would be alcoholism percentages are similar for that of humans and the animal world (i.e. Bees, etc.)

In general, I would say that the percentage of homosexuals is the same everywhere as it is genetic and not a conditioned response or anything like that.

Higher percentages are found in large cities, becuase more gays migrate there due to a higher amount of tolerance than in less metropolitan places.

Most studies I have read have indicated that anywhere from 5-10 % of the population is gay. My personal feeling is that whatever the percentage is estimated you can double it, as many people dont even admit to themselves let alone any one else that they are gay.

Actually the numbers are closer to 2-3% of the population are gay. But the gays keep trying to " pump up' the numbers to make it look more normal than it really is.
