What I really don't like is red shirts w/purple ties. Some guys should be red shirts & ties and the rest should be purple shirts & ties. That way they look nice regardless of the wedding colors. I think the groom should wear a black tie and a red bouttonier. Bride's dress ivory carrying purple and red flowers. Debbie

Ivory tie? Hm. Is this for a Japanese wedding? Bit spivvy otherwise. The only shirt colour that I'd reckon would look good with that is ivory, or perhaps charcoal.

brick red or pure white don't clash the ivory with the white shirt it can be very tricky so i would more along the lines opt for the deep red

I would go with a burgundy or silver colored shirt.

You could put just about any non-neutral color with it - blue-grey or maybe a brick red would be nice.
