I consider Muttaiah Muralitharan the best due to following reasons:
1) Warne has taken 685 wickets from 140 Test Matches
whereas Murali has taken 657 wickets from 108 test
matches. Murali could have defenitely taken more
wickets than Warne if he has played 140 Test Matches
2) Murali has better average in Test Matches as well as
one day Matches.
3) Warne has been performing better in test matches
and not in one day matches, whereas Murali has
fared better in Test Matches as .well as in one day
matches as he has taken more number of wickets
in one deay matches with better average as compared
to warne.
4) Murali is younger to Warne and has few more years cricket
left whereas Warne has reached end of his carreer

murali is number one!it has definitely got to be him.he is always a threat when he has the ball.if it is a matter of comparison murali gets the better hand.shane is also good.but murali is.......damn good.
