Lack of oxygen to your brain !!!!!!!

2006-10-07 11:50:04 · answer #1 · answered by Dolly Blue 6 · 1 0

Possibly your lungs and blood are a little starved of oxygen, if the coughing bout is particularly heavy, thus leaving you a little dizzy.
Ignore some of the scaremongers' answers, but see a Doctor if it continues.

One factor not addressed yet is coughing increases the blood pressure in the head and neck. That stops a good oxygen flow to the brain.

Lack of oxygen. It is similar to hyperventilation. The cough is not allowing you to expel all your air and consequently not be able to take in a deep breath.
