No such thing as a common law marriage in Florida. They dumped it a long time ago. Check your state laws with this link...

it is not considered a legal marriage unless you register with city hall as a common law marriage. then is will be considered legal. each state has a different time limit.[it is not long some states it is a year or two.....]

Yes....but it depends on what state you live in and it is considered but the courts....look up common law in your state on yahoo!

depends on how long you have been living together and in what state, in Nj I know it's 7 years you have to live together to be common law

go to the town hall. its funny. I was thinking (for tax purposes) maybe my boyfriend and I could get one of the civil unions they give out to same-sex couples cause they won't let them get "married," but I found out that opposite-sex couples can't get a civil union!
