There are alot more of us than them, and alot of things they do are in their interest, not the publics. Why is it that we prefer to be bossed around and live mindless lives when we could revolt and implement a government that works for the people?

develop a workable plan and many thousands would probably follow you.. so far the best plan that i know of is to simply wait till the next election.

This is a very good question, one I have been asking for close to 15 years. You see every four to eight years the President is changed so besides the fact I was flabbergasted that Clitoon was re-elected I got over it and moved on. What I could not get over was the congress.

You see I agree that there is a lot of corruption in the Congress and I believe it involves almost exclusively career multi-term members of both houses. If Americans keep re-electing criminals I see we have no choice but to have term limits.

You have to consider this, and it is a shame, but the real problem in America is stupidity, special interest and/or laziness of the voter. How does a person who takes bribes on video, laughs about the ineptness of the FBI and puts $100K in a freezer get elected 8 times? And then the Senate leaders yell and scream about separation of powers. Yes they are right, it is about their power and even if it is against the law, you will not thwart their power.

This is why I am for term limits for congress. It is run by career crooks who are only in it for the power, money and prestige.

Today there are:
80% of Dems in the Senate have been there more than 12 years
58% of Repubs

46% of Dems in the House have been there more than 12 years
32% of Repubs.

Ben Franklin said of congress, "They are of the People, and return again to mix with the People, having no more durable preeminence than the different Grains of Sand in an Hourglass. Such an Assembly cannot easily become dangerous to Liberty. They are the Servants of the People, sent together to do the People's Business, and promote the public Welfare; their Powers must be sufficient, or their Duties cannot be performed. They have no profitable Appointments, but a mere Payment of daily Wages, such as are scarcely equivalent to their Expences; so that, having no Chance for great Places, and enormous Salaries or Pensions, as in some Countries, there is no triguing or bribing for Elections"

Congress has to be told in no uncertain terms that we are not going to stand for them running the country for their benefit and the benefit of the big dollar donors. Look at the money that unions, without a vote of the members, have poured into political campaigns in the last six years, $470,000,000. So who benefits from that, the politician and the unions, we the people are screwed.

I want a congress that represents the citizens, that is not seeking to make us subjects of the ruling elite, that is reduced in size considerably and is held to a strict budget. It is our money, not theirs.

People in America worry wat too much about the term limited president, whereas the greatest potential for evil in the world lies in congress.

Please Americans, vote against anyone in Congress that has been in office more than 12 years, they are destroying our country.

BTW, for those who keep whining about big business, the real BIG MONEY comes from the unions, so it's not big business that is buying and influencing the politicians, it is the unions. Try opensecrets.org if you doubt me, look at what lawyers, lobbyists and unions pour into elections, and look at who they give it to, then you will have a pretty good idea of where the corruption comes from and who is getting bought in Congress.

Because, even though our standard of living is going down, we are still too comfortable to stand up against the government. Wait a few years and maybe we will all be able to see what the government, as supported by the capitalist corporations, are trying to do to us. When enough of us don't have enough to eat, medical care or places to live, we might stand up for ourselves.

we elect corporation to attain this. There desires to be a political party that's made up of familiar, operating people. It desires to be a democratically depending party, with recallable, elected leaders, and lively interior of reach branches, the position people can debate the ultimate way ahead. The ALP in Australia and the LP in Britain develop into once *virtually* like this, yet they emptied out, and grew to develop into hollow shells of their former selves about 40 years in the past. u.s. do not have some thing like those activities as we talk - the Democrats, in the journey that they were in Australia or Europe, might want to be considered a touch authentic-wing party. the ultimate signal I stated from the Occupy Wall St protestors develop into "they have 2 activities... we elect one among our personal."

Did you stand up against the Corrupt Clinton Adminstration and his Gang of Criminals?
If you are really interested in Corruption, check out Clinton's Arkansas Mafia that ruled Little Rock.
If you come down here to Little Rock and start asking questions about Bill, you'd better bring along several good body guards.
Come down and visit.

Because we'd be accused of Treason.

The best way to stand up against a government you don't agree with already exists. It's called an Election. The power is in our hands.

Because the government is better than you deserve and not half as bad as you make it seem. Also, the side wanting to do what you want is the anti-gun peace crowd and us gun owners would wipe you out if you started up.

... This is an excellent question and comment... Why don't we, as Americans take charge of our own government.. Unfortunatley the answer is.. Big Business... that is who is really in charge.. not only of government.. but us as well. I guess we could start boycotting anything big business provides.. but look arou nd.. that would be everything. We are trapped.!!!

Stupidity, we actually have the right to over throw ANY government that we find is corrupt, I doubt many people even know that.So it's not treason.

Because as a whole, we are a bunch of whipped puppies who go about with our tail between our legs and accept all. We do not stand up and use the teeth we have, we just tuck our tail further between our legs and go on.
