I said that I missed work and didn't call because the handle fell off the bathroom door while I was in there and I was trapped in the bathroom all day until my housemate came home and rescued me. They bought it.
I was actually sleeping off a hangover until lunchtime and then spent the rest of the day eating Burger King and watching dvds.

I used up all my sick days, and I called up and said my dad was critically ill after having a heart attack, because I seriously needed a day off to go and find a dress for the Christmas party! That's an example of dishonesty!!

Did they believe that you were dead? You may have a problem going into work on Monday. The problem is that now you have to start working on the whole miracle story. Good Luck.

Yes, that is too dishonest and when you try to go back to work they are going to look at you like I thought you were dead.But hey that was pretty damn funny.

~~~first,,,must say that one gave me a good laugh cause I sure want to know what your employer said to that one !,,,but ummm,,,do you think that when you showed up to work the next day that they realised that you were not dead after all??
