find a friend who knows about buying computers to go with you to get the compuer.

best is tell the shop person the parts of the computer you need and then ask the shop person to assemble it for you.

also, ask if the computer assembled has warrany.

ps: try not to ask your friend to assemble the computer for you as it is more safer to let the shop person assemble it for you as certain warranty might be void if your friend assemble it wrongly.

otherwise, if your friend is confident, then you let him or her assemble it but from my experience, the hardware is 1 big issue.

as for games, ask your friends who might know about computer games.

Any brand that uses Linux, or Linspire operating system. Most software will be either free or very cheap. Linspire cost about $50 (US), some computers come with Linspire already loaded. Allmost all the rest of the software is downloaded from the internet-it is a great economy way to go. Check out Linspire on the web.
