When changing your style, I suggest experimenting with cheaply priced items first, and then if you like them, invest in a higher quality version of the same style. I like Target.com because people rate the clothes and shoes there from 1 to 5 stars. This will give you an idea of what clothes other people recommend. Also, if you find out when stores change seasons (for example from summer to fall/winter and from winter to spring/summer) there are usually really big sales where almost everything in the store goes on sale. I've seen Express and Gap do this. If you get in there at the right time, you can get some really good deals.

Chains (on your handbags), Gold, RED SHOES, Tunics (but like, classier ones.) Heavy knit dresses, wide belts, boots, deep colors, plaid is back, pea coats, trenches, dark skinny jeans, brown, deep purple, trousers, leggings or tights.
Beware. Do not put leggings under mini skirts. That, my friend, is out. Try a heavy knit dress, or a long grey plaid trench with interesting detailings. You should even put a wide leather brown belt over the trench, that would be cute. Example: They have a really cute one on the cover of Shop Etc. a couple months ago, it was Ralph Lauren I believe. His designer collection.
I have alot more to tell, but I hope I helped.

Tune in to "What Not To Wear" on TLC. They always give great advice around this stuff. Start also paying close attention to the things you like, so you can learn more about your own interests. Look at magazines, browse the web, notice people walking around and start building a journal of the stuff you respond to. From here you will be able to start seeing patterns and learn about your own interests. Learning about yourself is harder done than said. Good luck.

Be different, don't be a follower! =)
No leggings under mini skirts. So many girls wear that ... it's not even original anymore...
