A dead crow on the road is good luck. A crow over a house is bad news. Crows in a churchyard are bad luck. Carrying an onion is protection from crows.

I've heard that crow is a "bad luck" bird. But then, I guess it depends on "who" you are, what you wish to believe in, and have you been a bad boy. Actually, I've always believed we make our own luck, good or bad. I mean, if a crow just "happens" to nose dive from 100 feet in the air, and you happen to be standing where "he" lands, I don't think it's "because" you cheated on a test at school! hahahaha!
