Anyone else miss the days before 24 hour tv when you could catch some really bad/good 60s/70s monster flick or some semi-obscure 70s movie? I do!

I think older sitcoms for the most part, tend to be funnier than today's.
Back in the 70s, sitcoms (mainly thanks to Norman Lear), started taking big chances for the 1st time, so lots of the humor was politically incorrect...but hilarious!

Remember the ABC 4:30 Movie & the After School Specials??
I also miss the original "In Search Of" w/ Leonard Nimoy! I loved the theme music.

What else do you miss on tv?...
I wish they'd put some of those old shows & After School deals on dvd.

Wow there are a lot of shows I miss. I hardly watch TV these days, nothing on good like there used to be

Happy Days
All in the Family

Even the dramas were good

Adam-12
Emergency
Vegas
Starsky and Hutch
Mod Squad
Ironside
McCloud

I could go on and on, so many great shows.

What happened? All the youngsters of today are into these stupid shows and into celebrities that wont even be remembered in 10 years. We should take all the youngsters and put them in big arena lock them in and make them watch TV shows from back then, and even old movies, then they would get a real education about how good TV and movies were and should be today

I agree 100% with you, and as someone else said, M*A*S*H and ALL IN THE FAMILY (and of course, HAPPY DAYS) were also great. Do you remember that off-beat show, "Mary Hartman?" That was a hoot, as were "Benson," and "Soap."

I loved watching "Laugh In," and "The Dean Martin Comedy Hour."
