There are more gay republicans in Congress, including in the republican leadership. That's not from me. That's from Joe Scarborough. He's a former republican congressman who went to Washington the same year as Foley. According to Joe he knew that Foley was gay back then so it was a surprise to no one when Foley came out this past week.
I don't mean to imply that i think there is anything wrong with being gay. I don't have a problem with. But then again I'm not a republican who's party platform year after year has included a call for anti gay legislation. It would be ironic indeed if this current group of republicans was brought down by a gay congressman who's district also happens to be in Florida. Talk about Karma!

It is true that the Republican closet is larger than most US States. It only stands to reason that, since homosexuality is genetically based, the proportion of Republican homosexuals are comparable to that of Democrats.
It is also certainly true that some Democrats also new about Foley. DC is small-town USA that way. Everyone has dirt on some one, and uses it for political advantage. So, I think it’s just a message to the Dems to back off (or look like hypocrites themselves).
The Repubs are in the worse position because of their innate and calculated hypocrisy. The party of Family Values can’t let it be known that they are, in fact, the party of sexual perverts and criminals.
And I think the Gay Republican closet is a little pis*ed at conservatives who routinely treat homosexuality, pedophilia, and bestiality as just different terms that mean the same thing.

If one is a member of the human race, he should be ashamed for ilk like Foley. Most men are not homosexual or child predators, they are heterosexual, so what does that prove? Should we accept and respect the homosexual act or disdain it as the sin it is and we CERTAINLY detest child predators.

Child predators are just that. They love to molest children under the age of 12. Homosexuals need older victims who are developed enough for their mutual enjoyment.
As for your question, the incident you speak of occurred about three years ago. How is it that it is exposed to the Liberal Media just weeks prior to the election. I would like to see an investigation into the reason for holding this information until now. The people who held this information have broken the Law, and are subject to Arrest for failing to report a Crime.
It would appear that they are more interested in helping the Democratic Party that helping the Victims in this case!

Because the Republicans only see what they want to see. They are a bunch of narrow minded people who only goal is to serve those like them. If a Democrat exposed him, Good hor him/them. It 's the Democrat's who really care about others.Don't even think of the Monica Lowinsky case-yes even us Dems make mistakes but this country was a whole lot better off with Clinton then it is now, that's for sure.

They are trying to make it look as if the Dems knew about this and allowed it to happen. When it is the Republicans scandal 100%.
Rockandroll's comment that Dems knew this for 3 years is so dumb its laughable. As if Dems would sit on this and not bring it up during the 2004 election...
