Sorry this is long, bear with me.

Monday evening I started getting a stuffy and runny nose. Tuesday it got a little worse. Wednesday I was really weak so I was taking sudafed and slept most of the day. Thursday it was a little better but I began coughing. By thursday night the cough was getting really bad that I woke myself up numerous times. Even though I was taking Tylenol and cough drops. Thursday night I took some Tylenol cold and flu night time pills and still woke up coughing. It is a horrible sounding cough. Friday morning I was going to do a "walk in" at the doctors but I woke up too late. The cough seems to be getting alot worse, and there's yellowish phlegm. The doctor doesn't have an answering service and won't be open until Tuesday. I have tried all kinds of OTC meds and they aren't working. I don't know what to do. I don't think it's serious enough for a trip to the hospital but I really don't know what to do.

I've started getting pain in my sides under my breasts.

~~~your rib cage is probably hurting from so much coughing,,,,Sounds like you have an extreamly bad cold, Musenex is really good for loosing phlem , should be able to get it from your local drug store. Drink alot of fluids, so you dont get dehydrated,,,try to get alot of rest,,,sleep elevated with a couple of pillows,,that will help you sleep better with all that chest congestion. First thing Monday morning go to your Dr,,,,phlem that is not clear is a sign of infection,,,,you may have chest infection like bronchitis,,,,,,Any trouble breathing,,,I would go to the hospital right away !,,,,
1) make a mixture of Honey and fresh lemon juice (one tea cup of honey with one lemon squeezed on it) for your cough,
have 2 tea spoons 3 times a day
2) boil fresh mint and squeeze on fresh lemon on it, then drop the lemon skin into it, add sugar to your taste and drink as much as you can, and go to sleep, avoid draft,
you'll sweat allot. this is for your flue
keep warm and stay away from draft
You should drink a lot of sage-tea with honey.
You have to rest and see the doc as soon as possible.
I don't know what you have but it doesn't sound like a normal cold. You need to see your doctor. Thats scary.
