Have you ever given birth? There is nothing awkward about it. Don't allow weak women to discourage you. Your body was created to do this. Do all you can to have a healthy pregnancy including lots of walking and pelvic tilts. Take a Lamaze class. Ask your OB if the place you will be delivering offers a birthing chair. Most importantly lose this idea that childbirth is in any way negative. It hurts because of Eve and the apple, but It is worth all the pain when you realize that God is trusting you with this beautiful child in these troubled times as a gift because He
loves you. Just trust God in all you do and love your child with the love of Christ. God bless you and your family. And, no, most animals do not have any trouble. Some small breed dogs do. And please consider breastfeeding. :)

Maybe because if it was too easy, people would go into it without truly thinking it through. I know that after giving birth to a 10lbs 5oz boy last time, that I will never have anymore children...so that might be another reason, to control just how many children are born, so as not to overpopulate...I guess nature wasn't aware of just how many immigrants we'd have in the UK, so that's blown that plan!

Animals seem to cope better than us human's! If you see a ***** or a cat giving birth, they just want to be alone and do their own thing...it's more of an instinct for them to know what to do, whereas we don't really know what we're meant to be doing, and often allow intervention by medical staff, when it might not be our true wish...which is why it is a proven fact that a home birth causes a more relaxed mother, and less chance of medical intervention during the labour.

Nobody had any *intent* in the matter. Reproduction is a system that just happens to work well enough for genetic variants within a species to continue to replenish their population.

Everyone would be alot better off if people would drop their dumb opinions and just use common sense to understand the natural world. You will neither be damned nor blessed by some fairy creatures from the sky. Nature is just how it is, nothing more. Supernatural is what has not been observed and reported.

Nature does not have intentions, and human birth is one of the most difficult in the animal kingdom.

In walking erect, the pelvis underwent changes. In order to develop well, humans went to a long gestation which is limited by the the anatomy of the pelvis.

I also did ask myself that question. Very valid one, I find, given that the human body, as a whole, is pretty well designed.
I once read this, not sure what to think of it: that women had to give birth in pain, in order for them to "feel" emotionally or psychologically that they separate from their child and that there is no fusion between them and the child...
Well, I let you decide on the validity of that.
If that theory is valid, I am pretty sure most of us got the message loud and clear.

i have 5 children...2 of them in born with medical intervention & pain relief in hospital & 3 at home with nothing but a towel to bite on when the pain was unbearable....and it is now my belief that the pain relief used does not take away the pain or make it any easier but it just draggs out the whole labour process & prolongs it!!!! it was my 2nd 4th & 5th that where born at home-i dont know if that makes any difference? it makes sense that the first born would be the hardest to deliver & i was told by my midwifes 3rd babies are known to be awkward...my 5th was actualy the most awkward...she didnt want to come out at all!!! but the labour wasnt drawn out for hours on end like my first & third!! i would say my fourth was the easiest & quickest....she did all the work -1hour 15mins from first sign of labour to delivering, 2pushes & she made her entrance!!!

Because as we started walking on two legs (to pick higher fruit and see predators over larger distances) our pelvis bones are in the wrong position (they should be the other way around). Consequently the channel for a baby to be born is a lot narrower than it should be. Thats the facts.

I wonder whether it's natures way of making sure we don't have too many children. Other animals do have painful births too.

Because God made women to give birth and knew we could deal with it. If he had intended for men to give birth, it would have been made pain free and simple.
