I'm about 28wks along and when I lay on my back I can't feel a baby lying around in there? I can feel when he kicks when I lay down, but it doesn't feel like there's 2-4 pnds pressing down on my spine or anything. Should I be able to tell where all the parts are my now, like feel the head and legs etc? Where does he go then when I can only feel my belly giggling......by the way I'm thin just have a small baby belly now?????? 1st pregnancy thanks!!!!

He's floating around in liquid, so is a bit weightless.

Thats a good question because I am 40 weeks now with my first and when I lay on my back I dont feel as much activity as I would feel laying on my side. However my doctor has informed me not to lay on my back, it's not good for the baby. But I find myself laying on my back in my sleep... when I wake up & realize I turn back around. My "son to be" doesnt like that position when I am on my back. I can feel kicking and elbows all around my stomach. I am all baby (thin) and this is my first pregnancy as well. Word of advise be careful laying on your back, dont make it a habit.
Good Luck~

Lol. I had trouble figuring out where all my boys body parts were all the way through! Both pregnancies I just couldn't figure it out. I would always ask the midwives to tell me whenever I saw them for check ups. I sure could tell where their legs were though cos they were great kickers. My first baby bounced (don't ask me how it's all a mystery) and my second continually got his foot under my right ribbed and kicked. So don't worry if you can't tell exactly where bub is. Besides that, baby is still quite small and WILL get bigger. Good luck with everything...

First off you shouldnt lay on your back this far along. when your thst far along you can feel knees and elbows etc but its also possible for the baby to have his back facing up..but bwin 28 week u shuld feel everything unless u just dont have an active baby

when you are pregnant you shouldnt be able to feel where any parts are. even if you are thin. the obvous ones like the head you can or when he or she kicks. If you could feel the parts then pregnancy would be really uncomfortable or more than it already is)

There is so much cushion in your belly that you won't really be able to feel pressure when you lay down.

no-- that is normal. Besides you have adjusted over the 28 weeks. So it not all of a sudden.
